Who is Dr.Javier Tapia
Dr. Javier Tapia is a medical surgeon specializing in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. Since 2013, he has been practicing in San José, Costa Rica.
Passionate about nasal surgery and currently exclusively dedicated to functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, performing between 4-6 cases per week. Dr. Tapia maintains continuous training and education by regularly attending courses, congresses, and international internships with world-renowned surgeons to offer his patients the latest rhinoplasty techniques and thus provide satisfactory, consistent, and predictable results.
My philosophy
Regarding rhinoplasty, my concept of a beautiful nose is proportional to each patient’s facial features, harmonizing with the other elements of the face and thus giving a natural and discreet appearance. The nose should not stand out or be the center of attention on the face; it should go unnoticed, directing attention to the eyes and the smile.
The result of a successful rhinoplasty should be natural, without the stigmas of a surgically altered nose. In other words, I believe that the key to success lies in creating a proportional and harmonious nose, in line with each person’s facial features and characteristics, without neglecting or sacrificing respiratory function but instead seeking to improve it.
Although we must understand that no nose or rhinoplasty is perfect, I can assure my patients that every day, I make the utmost effort and dedicate myself entirely to providing them with the results they dream of.
